NOVEMBER 4 Encouraging Word # 309 "You will make known to me the path of life, in Your presence is fullness of joy, at Your right hand there are pleasures forever." Psalm 16:11 Dear Friends How do you handle stress in your life? The other day, I got up and began processing in my mind all the things that I needed to do. It was not a good way to start the day! I realized I was already behind even though it was 6:30 in the morning! Fortunately, the most important thing for me that day came to mind which was to enjoy my walk with God. So I told the Lord, "Lord, all I want today is to simply enjoy my relationship with You." I didn't know what the day had in store, but I wanted to make it my purpose to walk with God and enjoy Him. David understood this. In Psalm 16:11 it states "You will make known to me the path of life, in Your presence is fullness of joy, at Your right hand there are pleasures forever." David had come to realize that real joy in life was simply walking with the Lord every day. That's what it's like to experience a bit of heaven on earth. We really have no assurance of what tomorrow or the future will be like but do have the ability to determine what today is like. I get tired of letting the pressures of life and stress dictate what my day is going to be like. Fortunately, we have a God who offers a joy that supersedes our circumstances and leads me down a path that gives us real pleasure.
