JohnP1111, As a parent myself I'm asking you to pray to GOD asking if GOD wants you to raise the money to bond him out. Perhaps GOD needs him to stay in and actually face the consequences. The next time it may be manslaughter. How would you feel if he gets out and a worse crime is committed because you helped him bond out? Dear Father God and Lord Jesus, Through your grace, please divinely intervene to give JohnP1111's son a strong desire to want to overcome his alcohol addiction. Let the son humble himself, search for you, Father God and Lord Jesus, with all of his heart so that he can ask for your forgiveness, divine direction, interventions and blessings. The son and the family can meditate on Jeremiah 29:12-13, in which you said, Father God, "Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." I also pray that you will give the father, JohnP, wisdom, discernment, and strength during this stressful time. May JohnP meditate on Psalm 32:8, "I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you." May the family pray together with the son daily and always put you first in their daily lives. Perhaps they can talk to a pastor at a Christ-centered church about their situation. May the son consider going to a rehab facility at a local Salvation Army where he can attend worship services, get to know you, Lord Jesus, and participate in Christ-centered programs.
