Is this multiple sclerosis? Julie Rowin is an MD who works in functional medicine. She gave a lecture on myasthenia gravis, which is available online. The lecture is called "Functional Medicine Approach to Myasthenia Gravis." She believes that gut health influences autoimmune diseases like MG. I reached out to her for you and asked about multiple sclerosis. She said that multiple sclerosis was also a disease that could be treated by functional medicine. She recommended that you go to the Institute for Functional Medicine online to find a practitioner. Dr. Rowin also talks about Ayurveda and traditional Chinese medicine. On that note, Ayurveda seems to think it can do more than what is normal for multiple sclerosis. Apparently there is even some research going on in India about this right now. You can look up "Multiple Sclerosis is not an Autoimmune Disorder, according to Ayurveda" by Dr. Prasanth Raghavan. His perspective differs somewhat from Dr. Rowin's, but an Ayurvedic doctor might be able to help too. Regarding traditional Chinese medicine, I know acupuncture is supposed to affect the nerves in the body, so this also might be able to help in some way. I wouldn't really know, but it might be worth investigating. Good luck.
