Here's my prayer - Dear Father God and Lord Jesus, I pray that you will comfort Kevin, who lost his dad recently. May he and his family meditate on on Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Another Scripture that might be helpful is Deuteronomy 31:8, "The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” In Jesus's name, I pray.
