Dear Father God and Lord Jesus, I pray that you will heal GeorgeH as he grieves over the loss of his dear wife, Paulette. May he develop a trusting, intimate relationship with you, Lord Jesus, and talk to you daily as he would to a dear friend. Let George's faith in you grow as he gets to know you better. He can meditate on Scriptures, including the gospels. You are truly our Lord, Savior, Rock, Healer, Great Physician, Comforter, and Friend. George can meditate on Jeremiah 29:12-13, in which you said, Father God, "Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." He can consider joining a Bible-teaching, Christ centered church and talk to a pastor about his concerns. It would be good for him to be surrounded by caring fellow Christians during this difficult time. Another Scripture that might be helpful in terms of your guidance is Psalm 32:8. Let all go well.
