GeorgeH, I am praying for you
Oh George H, my heart is breaking for you and Jesus' heart is with you too. What a long battle you and your wife faced together. Of course you are grieving, and you do not know what to do for yourself. I can make all manner of suggestions, but you know volunteer at the local shelter, adopt a dog or a cat, Men's groups at church, join and a books club, or a fishing or golf club, or learn to paint, all those things you already know. But I think Jesus wants to you ask him which way to go. Humble yourself and tell him you need him, right now, and you want to be on the path that has been planned for you ever since your birth. And if you are angry with God, tell him that too. He already knows and he wants your honesty and your trust. Please let the Holy Spirit's voice be the only one you hear and listen for it and pay attention to that voice. I pray for an easing of your heart. Do not be so proud you try to tough this out alone. Ask, ask God and ask friends and ask at hospitals, shelters, phone lines if any of them need a person just like you. I am praying for your sorrow, it will be around for awhile, but I am praying for an ease of sadness and for doors to open for you. Our church has a grief group, if you church does, absolutely join. And if your church does not have one, find one you are comfortable with and join it. I am praying. Blessings
Lord, give George fond memories of this obviously loved woman, the comfort and peace that only you can provide. Ease his grief and fill it with your joy. Amen
