Dear Aunt Von, What inspires me to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ is that without him we would not have the forgiveness of all of our sins. We would not have the gift of salvation. We would not have eternal life in heaven with him, if we're saved. We would not have a personal relationship with him and God, the Heavenly Father. We would not know about Jesus's love for us and his supernatural powers and miracles. We would not know his godly expectations or godly standards that he wants us to live by. We would not have his Holy Spirit living in us, if we're born again believers. We would not have inner peace and hope for the Rapture or his Second Coming where he will judge his enemies. We would not have hope for his Kingdom where he will rule for 1000 years as King of Kings, Lord of Lords. His virgin birth, life on this earth, supernatural three-plus year ministry, sacrifice as the Lamb of God, death, burial, and resurrection gave us sinners a chance to be saved--if we have been born again, believe in the gospel, and confess that we're sinners and need him as our Lord and Savior, and become committed to him. Without Jesus in our life as our Lord and Savior, we would face God's wrath, the Great Tribulation, and eternal life in the ongoing fire in hell. The list goes on. This is why I love, honor, and praise Jesus and have the Spirit of Christmas. I thank Father God for his precious son Jesus, his everlasting love for us, and his perfect plan for salvation that Jesus the Christ carried out perfectly on the cross. Amen.
