Dear Heavenly Father, I pray for Steve that You will guide his steps and pull him up from his state of depression. Please strengthen his faith in You. Please bring him discernment and place before him other believers who will support, nurture, befriend and tend to him. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen

Depression is a spiritual attack on the mind. It occurs when you feel a lack of hope. Satan will use this as an opportunity to attack your mind. He tries to discourage you by telling you about all of your failures, sins, wrong choices and bad relationships you have had.
