Sheila_Louise, I am praying for Eric
Dear Father God and Lord Jesus, I ask that you heal Eric of his wounded heart and his alcoholism. Please give him a desire to go to a rehab facility. The Salvation Army might have one in his area. I also pray that he will get to know you, Lord Jesus, on an intimate and personal level through Scriptures, meditations, and prayers. You're knocking on our door. All we have to do is let you in our heart and mind. You are truly our Lord, Savior, Refuge, Bread of Life, Healer, Prince of Peace, Deliverer, and Friend. May Eric talk to a pastor about his issues and be surrounded by loving Christians. In the meantime, let Sheila encourage him to pray and meditate on Hebrews 4:16, which says, "Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need." May all go well for Eric. In Jesus's name, I pray.
