Does your husband regularly read the Bible? I don’t know what his mental health issues are, but I can tell you from personal experience, that his issues will get somewhat better if he takes the time to feed himself with God’s word every day. I have never been diagnosed, but I struggle with mental health too. It just takes 5 to 15 minutes a day on YouTube, listening to some Bible verses read that directly address the problem you are struggling with. Look for Bible verses about fear, about depression, about whatever he needs help with. I’m not saying this will take the place of a professional counselor, but it will definitely help. It has helped me. If you are having to wait on hold to see someone, definitely take advantage of this. You will be astonished at the difference it makes. I begin my day every day this way. I also listen to praise and worship music on Pandora. I also take some time to pray for others. I have a timer on my phone that goes off every 30 minutes and reminds me to read another Bible verse. If you do the same thing, you will be astonished at the difference it makes. Please try it.
